PREMIER - Solskjaer back in training session with players

Published on: 26 October 2021

On Tuesday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led a practice session with his Manchester United players, attempting to turn around the team's fortunes amid questions over his future as manager.

United has one point from its previous four Premier League games after a 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool on Sunday. The team had a designated rest day on Monday before reporting back to the training facility on Tuesday to meet with Solskjaer.

United has said nothing publicly about Solskjaer's future this week, as is customary, in order to quell any worries about his capacity to stay in the role. “Ole is focusing his sights on United's next three games in an attempt to fight back,” the club's Twitter feed said on Monday.

Following United's League Cup exit, there will be no midweek match, and Solskjaer is likely to lead the team against Tottenham on Saturday. After nine games, United is eight points behind Chelsea.
