PREMIER - Tuchel rules out Chelsea "favorite" tag in meeting other teams

Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel has urged them not to anticipate an easy ride during a run of games that may help them win the Premier League championship.

Over the following five games, Tuchel's team has a wonderful opportunity to solidify their place at the top of the Premier League.

After winning five of their first seven games, the Blues sit one point ahead of Liverpool in second place.

By the time they've played Brentford, Norwich, Newcastle, Burnley, and Leicester, that margin might be much larger.

However, in order to avoid sending the incorrect message to his players, Chelsea manager Tuchel stated that expecting five victories just because they are favorites would be stupid.

"I cannot agree less with you because you used the word easier," Tuchel told reporters on Friday.

"If favourite means things will be easy, we cannot be more wrong and this is the total wrong path to go. If being favourite means we still expect a tough one tomorrow at Brentford then this is a good one to accept."
