President Nana Akufo Addo invited GFA president Kurt Okraku to a breakfast meeting with some selected companies as they solicit funds for football and other sports.

The FA capo had met the nation's president a week ago to discuss ways of raising an amount of $25 million to support the Black Stars quest for AFCON 2022 and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

During that meeting, a team comprising the sports minister, his deputy, former Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kufuor and Kurt Okraku was formed for soliciting of funds.

Last week they met companies from the extractive industries.

The President and the Football Association are bent on reviving the fortunes of the nation in sports.

President Akufo Addo has tasked the Black Stars to win the Africa Cup of Nations next reach as well as reach the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup.
