President Mahama Says His Overwhelming Endorsement Indicates Party's Readiness For December Polls

President John Dramani Mahama says the massive endorsement he got from the delegates at the party's congress in Kumasi is a manifestation that he has the full support of the rank and file of the party.

In his acceptance speech at a rally just after the congress, President Mahama called on the electorate to give the NDC a second term in office to continue with the good policies it has started.

Meanwhile, President John Dramani Mahama has been overwhelmingly elected the flagbearer of the NDC for the December general elections at the party?s special delegate?s congress in Kumasi.

He polled 2,767 votes, representing 99.5% out of 2,792 total votes cast.

11 votes were rejected while 14 voted no.

The voting was supervised by a Deputy Chairman of the EC Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka who declared the result.

Some of the delegates expressed joy over President Mahama?s victory in an interview with Radio Ghana.
