Published on: 11 March 2019

Daegu: Daegu FC will look to continue their superb start to the 2019 AFC Champions League when they host two-time champions Guangzhou Evergrande in Group F at Forest Arena on Tuesday.

The debutants from Korea Republic fell behind at Melbourne Victory last week but goals from Cesinha, Hwang Soon-min and Edgar secured a 3-1 victory to get them off to a flying start in Continental action.

Daegu then returned home to post a 2-0 win over Jeju United in K League 1 at the weekend as they remained unbeaten in 2019 to warm up for the visit of Guangzhou in perfect fashion.

Brazilian duo Talisca and Paulinho each scored as Guangzhou recorded a 2-0 victory over Sanfrecce Hiroshima in their opening Group F game last week.

Guangzhou, who defeated Tianjin Teda 1-0 in the Chinese Super League on Friday, have now gone 15 AFC Champions League group stage games without defeat in a run that stretches back to April 2016.
