Beijing: Beijing FC will look to deal Buriram United back-to-back defeats when the teams go head-to-head in Group G of the 2019 AFC Champions League at the Workers’ Stadium on Wednesday.

Cedric Bakambu netted a hat-trick as Beijing recorded a 3-1 victory away at Buriram on Matchday Three to move above the Thai side and level on four points with second-placed Urawa Red Diamonds.

Their domestic form, meanwhile, has been impeccable, with Saturday’s 1-0 win over Hebei CFFC maintaining their perfect record as they made it six successive victories to remain top of the Chinese Super League.

Buriram claimed a hugely impressive 1-0 win over Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on Matchday Two but were brought crashing back down to earth with the loss to Beijing and another defeat could leave them facing an uphill battle to advance to the next stage.

The Thai side drew 1-1 with Trat on Friday as they maintained their unbeaten record to remain second in the Thai League 1 standings ahead of their trip to the Chinese capital.
