AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng says he is not in trouble with the Ghana FA after missing the weekend’s game against Sudan.

Fans of the Black Stars were shocked in midweek when it was announced that the enforcer would not travel for the game.

This is because he was in full time action for AC Milan that weekend which sparked suspicion that there might be something wrong.

But Boateng insists he got all the clearance from the Ghana FA to absent himself from the game because if a hamstring injury he sustained.

“There was no misunderstanding (with the Ghana FA). After the league game I felt a bit of pain on my hamstring ,” Boateng said.

“So I decided not to go (for the game against Sudan) because I was not 100 percent fit.

“For me there was no misunderstanding. There was an email to the Ghana Football Association that I can’t travel and I can’t play.

“So for me it was clear and I stayed in Milan and I trained.”

The Black Stars were held to a goalless draw by Sudan in Kumasi.

The game was supposed to be a big welcome party for the AC Milan star but injury ruled out a grand splash for him at the Kumasi Stadium.
