In an intense UEFA Europa League clash at Doosan Aréna, Viktoria Plzen edged out Real Sociedad 2-1 in Round 4 of the group stage.

Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu opened the scoring early, netting a powerful right-footed shot in the 13th minute. His goal, assisted by Pavel Å ulc, saw Plzen take control as the Czech side pushed forward with confidence.

Real Sociedad responded in the 35th minute, with Orri Óskarsson heading in a Mikel Oyarzabal cross to equalize. Despite Sociedad's overwhelming 70% possession and a higher expected goals tally, Plzen’s defense held firm.

The decisive moment came in the 90th minute when Daniel Vasulín struck from the center of the box, finishing a swift counterattack orchestrated by Lukáš Kalvach. His goal sealed a hard-fought victory for Plzen, keeping their hopes alive in the Europa League.

Plzen now shifts focus to their next domestic game, while Sociedad will regroup ahead of their La Liga game against Barcelona.
