Swansea City star Andre Ayew is likely to sign a new contract should his side secure promotion to the English Premier League next season.

Ayew's three-and-half-year contract with Swansea City is set to expire at the end of the season.

The 31-year old has been the club's best player in the last two seasons since his return from Turkish side Fenerbache.

Ayew has shot down talks of contract renegotiation as he focuses on securing promotion with the team to the Premier League.

The former West Ham United attacker indicated he will only talk about his contractual issues after securing promotion with Swansea.

"We will see. When you start thinking about that, it takes away some of your focus, and I don't want that," he told FourFourTwo.

"It could get to a point where that question will come - 'Are you staying or going?' - but right now I'm happy here.

The Ghana International played in the Premier League with Swansea City in the 2015/16 season.

He scored 15 goals in his debut season for the Welsh Club

Swansea City currently chasing automatic qualification and occupies the fourth position on the Championship table with 69 points.
