Kylian Mbappe appears intent on leaving Paris Saint-Germain and the Frenchman has long been flirting with Real Madrid, although Los Blancos are not the World Cup winner's only option.

The forward's contract runs out in the summer of 2022 and seems uninterested in extended that deal, which has lit up the eyes of presidents and chairmen across the footballing world as they seek to land the next major star of the game for years to come. Le Parisien published a report which deems Mbappe's exit likely and suggests that Real Madrid are the favourites. However, Los Blancos will need to fight off competition to get him, particularly in the form of Liverpool, Juventus and Barcelona.

Mbappe's delicate contract situation is where Madrid are looking to pounce. Florentino Perez's years of building a good relationship with PSG chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi means he will only try to sign him if the French club are willing to do so. However, Los Blancos could tempt them with a bid next summer as the forward could start negotiating a free transfer as of January 2022.

The price for Mbappe would be 200 million euros, according to the information from La Parisien, an amount that Real Madrid could handle seeing as they've not made signings for a long time, but other powerful clubs in Europe could also be willing too. Liverpool, Juventus and Barcelona are all interested in Mbappe's situation and would be willing to fight for his signing.

In the case of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is the main figure who could convince the French player that he can be a star at Anfield and in the Premier League for the next few years. The project of the English club would revolve around Mbappe, something that it is important to the youngster. Juventus are said to be preparing a dizzying offer of around 400 million euros which would include Cristiano Ronaldo in the operation.

Barcelona are also monitoring the situation as they seek to find a long-term replacement for Leo Messi, although the financial situation of the Catalans would make a transfer fee of some 200 million euros difficult to reach.
