PSG beat Lyon 1-0 on Sunday to crash the faint hopes of Olympique Marseille and Ghana duo; Andre and Jordan Ayew of winning Ligue 1.

A Jeremy Menez striker in the 53rd minute was enough to secure PSG’s first championship title in 19 years.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team have now built an unassailable 77 points lead with two game left in Ligue 1.

This means a defeat on their part and successive wins for closest contender; Marseille will not even be enough to divert the route of the French league crown.

PSG’s title presentation will however have to wait for the conclusion of a disciplinary hearing against sporting director Leonardo who is accused of barging a referee last week.

Marseille’s Ghana duo; Andre and Jordan Ayew can however console themselves with qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League with confirmation of their second-place finish with a 2-1 win over Tolouse on Saturday.
