West Brom boss Tony Pulis says they must be active in the January market.
Pulis is desperate to strengthen his squad after Premier League defeats to Leicester City and Manchester United.
But the Albion manager accepts he must balance the books to facilitate new arrivals in January.
"We need a few more players to get the balance right in the team," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"It still doesn't feel like the balance is right.
"We need to bring in one or two to try and get that balance.
"There's always certain things that need to be put in place for anything like that to happen.
"We certainly need to move one or two.
"There's one or two players who have not been playing and are desperate to play and they need to go out and play.
"If that gives us the room then and the opportunity to bring one or two in we'll desperately try and do that."
