First assist of the campaign for Pulisic

The United States international came on during the second half replacing Ross Barkley in the 64th minute with Chelsea looking for the game winning goal. It took a few minutes for the Christian Pulisic to get involved in the game in his third appearance of the campaign this year.

In the 85th minute Chelsea took a 3-2 lead. Christian Pulisic fed Timo Werner inside the box and the German striker smashed a low shot straight past Zenit’s goalkeeper Kerzhakov to find the back of the net. This was Pulisic's firs assist of the tournament in three appearances, but with this result Chelsea was securing the first place in Group H.

In stoppage time the home side would have the last say as Magomed Ozdoyev scored an outstanding goal to make it 3-3. Dzyuba won a long ball from Douglas and Chelsea’s defenders were not able to deal with it. Claudinho sent a cross from the left flank, Sarr was able to header the ball away, but Ozdoev, from barely outside the box, fired a lovely right footed volley to score the equalizer.
