Puma target another Nike superstar

Puma made waves when they announced the signing of Neymar on a long-term sponsorship deal from Nike, and the German brand could be ready to make another statement move.

Neymar had been with Nike for 15 years before the switch, and is reportedly earning around 25 million euros a year from Puma, joining the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Sergio Aguero and Antoine Griezmann on the brand.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Puma are planning a move to take Manchester United star Marcus Rashford away from Nike, just as they did with Neymar.

The current deal Rashford has with Nike is expiring, and a number of other sports brands are also said to be interested in the striker who originally signed with Nike when he was 11 years old.

Puma though, have a significant budget and could table a 15m euro a year deal to Rashford in a bid to make him break that 12-year Nike link.
