Midfielder Uriah Asante is on the verge of sealing a summer move to South Africa Premiership club, Amazulu.

The 18-year-old impressed officials while on pre-season tour with his division one club Pure Joy FC.

The youngster was recalled by the club on Wednesday for further checks, negotiations and medicals and is expected to pen a deal in the coming days.

"Uriah left Accra for SA on Wednesday to finalise his move to Amazulu," a source close to the player revealed to GHANAsoccernet.com.

Other South African clubs are reported to be monitoring talks with Amazulu so they can also make their offer.

Asante became a household name last season after featuring for giants, Accra Hearts of Oak. It is unclear why the Phobians were unable to turn his loan deal permanent.

He is expected back in Ghana on Sunday to join up with his teammates at the national U-23 camp.
