R.T.U, King Solomon record wins in play-offs

Real Tamale United hopes of a making a quick return to the Premier League got off to a good start in the play-offs on Wednesday with a 2-1 win over Bazooka F.C at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The match-day-1 result puts the former premiership campaigners in the lead by a better goal difference in the Zone 1 promotional league ahead of Unity F.C who beat Bofoakwa Tano 1-0 Bekwai.

Salim Sakara's goal handed R.T.U the win as they now prepare to play Bofoakwa next.

R.T.U scored first through Aziz Yusif but Razak Patrick equalised for Bazooka before Sakara scored the match winner.

At the Bekwai Park, Isaac Neequaye's 86th minute goal secured all three points for Unity F.C against Bofokwa Tano.

In the Zone III matches, it was honours even in the fixture between Amidaus and Instanbul at the Gyandu Park allowing King Solomon to go top in the group following their 1-0 win at the Robert Mensah Stadium over Danbort.

Timothy Darbah's opener for Instanbul was cancelled out by Amidaus' Emmanuel Morgan.

King Solomon strolled to an opening day win courtesy Ishmael Obodai's goal.

The winners after three rounds of matches from every group make it to the topflight league.
