Entertainment of Tuesday, 29 May 2012Source: omg Dynamic Ghanaian rap duo R2Bees have announced their preparedness for the August 27 Africa Unplugged concert billed for the Wembley Arena, London.

In a televised viral video preempting this historic event, the multiple charts-topping group made up of Paedae and Mugeez, gave the strongest indication of an unforgettable night on Bank Holiday, August 27 in the United Kingdom, and why Africa must rally behind the Africa Unplugged initiative.

Set to be the biggest event in the United Kingdom in August, the organizers of the Africa Unplugged concert aim at using the platform to raise awareness on the plight of most Africa’s worrying challenges including Poverty, Malaria, War, Genocide, HIV/Aids, lack of access to portable drinking water and the numerous other atrocities that has bedeviled the continent. A substantial portion of proceeds from the concert will go to support and address these challenges,” the organizers have said.

R2Bees has thus called on their loyal fans in and outside the UK to make it a point to attend the concert, as that was the only way enough revenue would be raised for the project.

With 20 of Africa’s best acts selected across 15 countries billed to perform, Africa Unplugged is yet the biggest event to hit the UK and Europe in a long while.

The organizers are upbeat about the success of the show, as news of the event has been received well across the United Kingdom and in most parts of Europe.

With an incredible resume under their belt, having staged and organized the best of concerts in both the United Kingdom and Ghana, the organizers have assured patrons of nothing but the best.**
