Inter Milan boss Rafael Benitez named Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari in his 21-man squad for Tuesday's Uefa Champions League title defence opener against FC Twente at the De Grolsch Veste Stadium in Enschede .

Muntari played his first game under the Spanish trainer last Saturday in their 2-1 win over Udinese.

He replaced striker Diego Milito in the 81st minute.

The 26-year-old was a subject of transfer speculation during the summer but looks set to fight for a place in the  team.

Contrary to speculations, it looks like the left-footed middle man is in the good of Benitez.

Under Jose Mourinho last season, Muntari played a bit-part role in Inter set-up that won the treble.

Inter squad:

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar, Luca Castellazzi, Paolo Orlandoni.

Defenders: Ivan Cordoba, Javier Zanetti, Lucio, Maicon, Marco Materazzi, Walter Samuel,  Cristian Chivu, Davide Santon.

Midfielders: Wesley Sneijder, Sulley Muntari, Mariga, Esteban Cambiasso, Joel Obi,  Coutinho. Strikers: Samuel Eto'o, Diego Milito, Goran Pandev, Ludovic Biabiany.
