Rahim Ayew set for Zamalek start

Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew will play his first match for Zamalek in more than six months after being named in their starting line-up to face El Gouna on Monday night in the League.

The 22-year-old will be deployed as make-shift right-back by coach Hossam Hassan who resolved his differences with the Ghana World Cup player.

He has been dormant for the struggling Egyptian giants but earned national team call-ups under then Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac.

Ayew hopes to regain his form that won Ghana silver at the maiden African Championship of Nations in Ivory Coast in 2009.

Zamalek are currently placed 10th on the Egyptian Premier League table.
