Rajevac faces Fifa action after snubbing Ghana - agent

The agent of ex-Ghana boss Milovan Rajevac is to report the coach to Fifa and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for breach of contract.

The Serbian coach took an offer from a British agent Alexander Wallis to sign a one-year contract with Saudi side Al Ahly Jeddah without the blessing of Goran Milovanovic.

Milovanovic wanted Rajevac to stay on as the coach of Ghana after negotiating a new four-year deal despite better offers from several clubs and countries.

But the coach opted for the deal with the British agent Wallis against the wishes of the agent he is signed with.

In an interview with a local radio station in Ghana, Milovanovic insists he has no option but to report the issue to Fifa and CAS.

“I have a running contract with him as his agent and if he has taken another agent behind my back he must answer,” Milovanovic said.

“I will take the issue to Fifa and CAS for the breach of contract.

“If you take a manager you trust in his ability to give you the best advice for your career but he chose another path so he has to answer.

“We had all these offers before I negotiated for the extension of the Ghana contract and I thought it was the best in his long-term career.

“Now that he has broken my contract with  me he must answer.”

Rajevac joined Saudi side Al Ahly Jeddah on Wednesday after quitting as the coach of Ghana.

Rajevac has signed a contract with wealthy Saudi side Al Ahly Jeddah worth US$4.5m.

Al Ahly president Prince Khalid bin Fahd confirmed that he signed a three-year contract despite a new offer from Ghana.

Rajevac, 54, quit as the coach despite being offered a new four-year deal by the Ghana Football Association worth US$3.5m.

He is expected to be unveiled this week by Al Ahly.
