Ghana's rising hip life artiste Yaa Pono has released what could be the most impressive song yet to be released about the Black Stars.

The Tema-based rapper, who composes his lyrics with his Uptown Energy team, made witty references to Ghana's World Cup players in the song titled 'Black Stars'.

The most outstanding line in the three-minute Twi rap was the reference he made on defender John Mensah's much talked-about hair style but praised his defensive prowess.

Yaa Pono asked goalkeeper Ricahrd Kingson to repeat his antics in the Kalypo advert while hailing the grittiness Hans Sarpei shows while playing for the country.

The rapper, who had shown his keen interest in football in previous freestyle tapes, controversially speculated over the dropping of Laryea Kingston from the final World Cup squad.

He intelligently pointed to the absence of Sulley Muntari from the Black Stars starting line-up during the tournament while praising and criticizing the players who played.

Yaa Pono hailed the skills of Kevin Prince Boatenbg but lamented his lack of strength and he also hailed Dede Ayew asking him to ignore previous criticism from fans.

He is one of the few musicians in the country to have written a song about the Black Stars.

Few songs on the national team have gone Number 1 on the music charts but 'Black Stars' is likely to go top if he gets enough air play.
