Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has made donations of food items to the Muslim community in Cape Coast ahead of the start of Ramadan.

The items donated by the Al Qadsiya star included bags of Rice, packets of Lipton, Milo, Boxes of Oil and several other beverages as Muslims usher in the holy month of fasting.

Sumaila has always been to the aid of his community, and before his current support, he also helped in the fight against COVID-19 by donating hand sanitizers and some toiletries.

The ex-Asante Kotoko defender is enjoying a good campaign with Kuwaiti club Al Qadsiya, where he has been their best player this season.

There are talks of contract extension with the Yellow Castles.

Football is currently on hold in the Asian country due to the outbreak of the cornavirus.
