Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has resumed training with Al Qadsia after suffering an ankle knock in their AFC Cup draw with Estiqlol on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old was replaced early in the midweek Asian second tier club competition game after complaining of pains in his ankle.

Sumaila who has been a mainstay for his Kuwaiti club since arriving on loan in January from Mamelodi Sundowns was given the all-clear to train fully with the side after tests reveals his injury wasn’t serious.

The Ghana international was given a day’s rest and returned to training on Friday.

Sumaila is expected to play in Sunday’s league match against Khaitan.
