Rayo Vallecano have confirmed Ghanaian midfielder Fatau Mohammed will sit out for four weeks with a thigh injury.

The 22-year-old picked up the problem during the side’s 1-0 defeat against Atletico Bilboa in San Mamés Barria over the weekend.

Further test on Wednesday revealed the combative Ghanaian midfielder will remain on the sidelines for a month.

“After medical test conducted on Fatau, the medical team has diagnosed a break in the semitendinosus of the left thigh. The estimated time for his return is four weeks,” a club statement read on the club’s official website.

The former Granada man has featured five times for the side this term.
