Former Ghana International, Abubakari Damba says Razak Abalora is seriously under pressure and must be given time off from both club and country duties.
Abalorah committed a blunder in the Black Stars game against Morocco on Tuesday in Rabat which helped the Atlas Lions to win the game.
The Asante Kotoko goalkeeper has come under serious backlash from the fans after that howler which led to the defeat.
It was his second mistake at the post for the Black Stars.
According to Damba, Abalora needs help psychologically and is not in the best of shape at the moment.
“Abalora needs help because he is in a bad state psychologically. I have been in this state before and I know how it feels like.
Let’s take him out of the picture and take care of him”, he told Happy FM
“It’s about self-confidence and he has lost it now. So we as technical men need a psychologist to work with him.
“He (Abalora) needs time off from both club and country to work on himself. Now he is under serious pressure”, he added.
Despite the backlash from the fans the former WAFA goalkeeper has gotten support from teammates and Black Stars coach Akonnor.
