RB Leipzig set to sign Roma forward

Newly promoted Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are reportedly interested in taking Roma youngster Umar Sadiq to Germany during the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old Nigerian striker has scored twice in six appearances for the Giallorossi and his impressive performances under former coach Rudi Garcia have attracted the interest of The Bulls.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Leipzig are in the market for a forward and Sadiq’s goals against Genoa and Chievo in January have done enough to convince Ralph Hasenhüttl of his ability.

The Giallorossi are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €8 million for Sadiq and Leipzig won’t have a problem in paying that amount, considering the amount of financial resources the German outfit have at their disposal.

Meanwhile, Roma have rubbished reports Miralem Pjanic is set to leave the club amid interest from Juventus.
