RC Lens coach David Guion believes Ghanaian forward Grejohn Kyei has the talent to excel in the French top-flight.

Kyei has established himself in the Blood and Gold side since joining on a season-long loan from Stade Reims in the summer.

The 23-year-old came off the bench against AJ Auxerre to slam a magnificent back-stunt strike in the 78th minute to ensure they secure maximum points.

The Ghanaian impressive second half display earned plaudits from coach Guion and reports suggest that he could get a starting berth in their Monday’s clash against Gazélec Ajaccio.

Guion remains convinced that Kyei has the potential to be successful in Ligue 1 with one precondition.

“For me, he can evolve into Ligue 1. Provided he regains confidence and spontaneity. When things go wrong, he tends to close. Last year it was not easy but I do not forget that he scored the goal of the climb.”

He has netted 4 goals and provided one assist in 17 league games to help the side climb to 4th on the table.
