Reading boss Jaap Stam is under consideration at West Ham.
The Sunday Mirror says Stam has jumped to the top of West Ham's wanted list to replace Slaven Bilic.
Pressure is again growing on Bilic after a disappointing run of results and talks over a new contract for the Croat have been shelved until the summer.
Former Manchester United star Stam has impressed at Reading, taking them into the play-off positions in the Championship in his first full-time job in management.
Stam – who held the manager's job at Dutch club Zwolle on a temporary basis – has signed a two-year deal at the Berkshire club.
