Real Madrid have lost their case against LaLiga relating to the financial treatment of TV rights.

In a statement to clubs, the number 67 magistrates court of Madrid threw out Los Merengues' demand for a sum of over 23 million euros.

Real Madrid had raised doubts about the financial management practices of LaLiga, but the court rejected all of the club's demands.

Those demands included for LaLiga to provide detailed accounts of the 2018/19 season, particularly relating to the selling of TV rights.

The court - in their response - stated that it wasn't their belief that the TV rights had grown without accompanying proper management by LaLiga.

It also rejected Real Madrid's request that they be given more information on LaLiga's business and marketing activities.

Real Madrid can now take the decision to a tribunal hearing.
