Real Madrid boss Zidane facing down Spanish revolt

Published on: 27 February 2017

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is facing down a revolt by a clique inside his locker room.

AS says several of Real's Spanish players are upset with the way they've been treated this season.

Alvaro Morata, Isco and Marco Asensio are all unhappy with the lack of playing chances Zidane has granted them, along with Colombian James Rodriguez.

It's been suggested the situation threatens to boil over, unless Zidane can find room for the quartet.

Asensio, particularly, is unsettled, having not played at all during February.
