REAL MADRId - Fans want Alaba, Pogba and Lewandowski... not De Gea or Neymar

Published on: 12 March 2016

The current campaign is far from over (what will happen in the Champions League?), but Real Madrid are already planning for next season. The club has put together a shortlist of potential future signings and has already kicked off talks with those players to gauge their willingness to join Real Madrid.

De Gea, Ricardo Rodríguez, Alaba, Stones, Laporte, Marquinhos, Pogba, Sané, Hazard, Lewandowski, Aubameyang and Neymar are the twelve names on the Bernabéu club's wish list.

Here at MARCA.com, we have asked fans for their opinions and preferences on this shortlist. It came as a surprise to hear that fans do not think that Real Madrid need David de Gea right now. 68% of the 34,000 readers who took part in the poll responded no when asked if Los Blancos needed the United keeper. Keylor is more than enough.

Our online readers think that Alaba is the player that Real Madrid need in defence, well ahead of the other candidates.

Meanwhile, they prefer Pogba ahead of Hazard, possibly on the back of a poor season at Chelsea. 61% voted for Juventus's main man in midfield, whilst only 26% went for the Belgian, a player who Zidane is a huge fan of.

Up front, fans believe that Lewandowski is the striker that Real Madrid need to lead their attack, even ahead of Neymar, who took fewer votes than Aubameyang.
