Serbian Super Cup champions Red Star Belgrade has told Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Awal-Issah he is surplus to requirements at the club.

The former Real Sportive player has been told he has no place in new coach Robert Prosinecki's set up who has replaced Martin Petrovic.

The 24-year-old is among seven other players including former captain Slavco Perovic who have been shown the exit door.

Issah joined the former European champions two seasons ago and has found the back of the net once this season in a Cup match.

It is rumoured that Russian club Shinnik Yroslav has shown interest in him.
