The Match Review Panel has rectified their decision on referee Adu Poku saying he has only been banned for the first round.

Last week, the Ghana FA confirmed he had been banned for the rest of the season.

The Match Review Panel has announced that the recommendation to suspend the referee for the rest of the season was done in error.

In its review that the referee should be suspended for the rest of the First Round of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League season.

Consequently, in line with Article 97 of the Disciplinary Code of the GFA, which states inter alia “A deciding body may at anytime rectify any mistakes in calculation or any other obvious error detected later”.

The Executive Committee hereby upholds that you are suspended for the rest of the First Round of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League instead of the earlier suspension directed.
