Rennes ready to sell Gyan to Fener

Stade Rennes are apparently set to sell Ghanaian striker Gyan Asamoah to Fenerbahce to raise funds to purchase Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham target Loic Remy.

According to France Football, Fenerbahce want to tie up the deal quickly so the player can be registered to play in the Champions League playoffs should the Turks come through Wednesday's  third-round tie against Young Boys Berne.

Rennes are asking for 18 million euros for the World Cup star, although they are said to be prepared to settle for 16.5 million euros.

With this money, the Stade Rennes would be able to snap up Nice striker Remy, who is coach Frederic Antonetti's priority.
