REVEALED: Kingsley Sarfo discloses Zlatan Ibrahimovic's role in his move to Malmo FF

Ghana midfielder Kingsley Sarfo has revealed that Sweden superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic played an instrumental role in his move to Malmo FF.

The 21-year-old completed a move to the Allsvenkan giants on a four-and-half-year deal from Sirius in the early parts of the summer transfer window.

Prior to his move to Malmo, Sarfo was linked with a move to several European big leagues following his exploits with Sirius, however, he opted to join the Sky Blues.

Speaking to Kumasi-based radio station, Sarfo disclosed that his transfer to Malmo wouldn't have been possible without the persuasion of the former Manchester United icon.

''I can reveal to you that Zlatan Ibrahimovic played a key role in my transfer move to Malmo FF,'' Kingsley told Kumasi-based Silver FM

''Even though we never spoke to each other, but he had a great influence on the move as he did not openly involved himself in the negotiations,'' he pointed out.

He continued, ''Zlatan is superstar in Sweden. I am fortunate to be one of the outfield players in the Allsvenkan that put on his apparels for advertisement.''

''And so through this, he has really played a crucial role in my transfer move to Malmo this seaon. As I am speaking with you right now, I have even brought some of his kits in Ghana.''

Sarfo, who began his career with Kumasi-based Anokye Stars, was handed a debut Black Stars call-up by Kwesi Appiah last month ahead of the 2019 Afcon qualifiers but the midfielder turned down the opportunity and reports suggest he has opted for Sweden ahead of Ghana.
