Richard Kingson gets window opportunity at Blackpool

Ghana World Cup star Richard Kingson is set for more game time at English Premier League side Blackpool following the injury of first choice goalie Matt Gilks.

Gilks is facing up to three months on the sidelines with a broken kneecap and in his place Kingson, a summer signing will deputise.

Kingson, who returns from international duty, will be handed the gloves for this weekend's home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 33-year-old impressed in his second league appearance last week at Upton Park in the 0-0 draw.

He impressed in his debut game even though Blackpool lost 3-2 against Aston Villa.

Blackpool have also recalled young goalkeeper Mark Halstead from his loan spell with Barrow to act as cover.

Kingson's stints at Birmingham City and Wigan were fraught with limited playing time.
