Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson is expected to return to club action on Sunday after a three-year absence as he is expected to start for Cypriot side Doxa when they Nea Salamis in the Cypriot top-flight on Sunday.

The 34-year-old former Ghana first choice goalkeeper has been without a club since he was released by English club Blackpool in May 2011.

But he is set to play his first competitive league game for Doxa on Sunday evening as manager Loukas Hadjiloukas could hand the experienced shot-stopper the first choice gloves.

Kingson sealed a one-year deal with Doxa in early July after holding fruitful talks with the club.

The former Wigan keeper is still eyeing a place in the Black Stars squad and his return to action could boost his chances.
