Richard Kissi Boateng believes he has the ability to solve the problematic left back position in the Black Stars.
The Berekum Chelsea player earned his fourth call-up into the senior national team ahead of the international friendly against Cape Verde on Tuesday.
The West African side have struggled to find a permanent left back since Addoquaye Pappoe left the scene after the 2006 Fifa World Cup in Germany.
Over ten players including Nana Kwesi Asare, Daniel Opare, Lee Addy, Hans Adu Sarpei, Massawudu Alhassan and Lee Addy amongst others have been tried in the position without huge success.
But the 23-year-old is confident he can become a permanent left back player for the team.
“I was very excited when I got my fourth call-up into the national team. I looked at the list and I could see three left back players,†Kissi told Radio XYZ
“I believe it’s all about opportunity because when I get the chance, I will work hard to remain in the position.
“It’s always a dream to play for the Black Stars will not waste time to seize the opportunity when its present itself.â€
Boateng will face stiff competition from experienced Harrison Afful, who  is a sure bêt for the position at next year’s African Cup of Nations in South Africa
