Richmond Boakye Yiadom debut in Champions League ends in defeat to Bayern Munich

Crvena Zvezda striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom came off the bench to make his debut in this season’s group stage of the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich on Wednesday

The Black Stars striker was unable to start the game due to fitness issues and passed a late fitness test to make the squad on match day

Boakye-Yiadom was introduced in the 70th minute as Crvena zvezda popularly known as Red Star Belgrade were losing to Bayern by 3-0

The 26-year old hopes to replicate his goal scoring form in the qualifying round in the group stage which is currently underway

He scored three goals in the qualifiers and was key to the team’s qualification

Crvena zvezda will play Olympiacos in their second group game at home in fort night

The Serbian giants are in Group B alongside Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Olympiacos
