Red Star Belgrade forward Richmond Boakye- Yiadom returns to the Black Stars after a two-year absence. The Black Stars forward was named in Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan on March 27, 2020 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The 26-year old last played for the Black Stars during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Despite an impeccable form for Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League, the former Juventus player was not invited for the South Africa and São Tomé games.

He has made 12 appearances for the Black Stars since making his debut in 2012.

Boakye-Yiadom returns to the squad  in Charles Kwabla Akonnor’s  first call up as Black Stars coach.
