Richmond Boakye Yiadom scores brace as Black Stars thump lower-tier side Golden Kicks 5-1 in friendly

Beitar Jerusalem forward Richmond Boakye Yaidom scored a brace for the Black Stars against newly promoted Division one side Golden Kicks in a friendly on Monday.

The Black Stars came from behind to beat Golden Kicks 5-1 as part of preparations towards the doubleheader this week in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Golden Kicks took the lead before the former Red Star Belgrade striker got the equalizer and later increased the lead for the senior national team.

The team later scored three more goals in the second half as Jordan Ayew found the back of net while Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Caleb Ekuban completed the list on the goal scorers chat for the game.

The Black Stars will depart from Ghana to South Africa on Tuesday to continue with preparations ahead of the game against Ethiopia.

15 players trained today at the Accra Sports Stadium and the other players are expected to arrive in camp by close of day.
