Riqui Puig ill and absent for Barcelona's trip to Valencia in La Liga

Barcelona coach Quique Setien revealed in Friday's press conference that Riqui Puig will miss Saturday's game against Valencia through illness.

Setien said that he will be unable to train before the game because of a bug and, therefore, will not be available for the trip to Mestalla this weekend.

The Barça boss also advanced that that meant a call up to first-team training for Alex Collado, another of Barca B's young midfielders.

"There will be surprises because there will be players that train with us and then go to the B team again and other players that have been with us less may appear," Setien explained.

"[On Friday], for example, Collado is going to come with us because Riqui is ill. It's a way of seeing everyone's level. Everyone has a chance."

Puig came off the bench against Granada last weekend to make his first appearance of the season before starting the win at Ibiza in midweek.

Collado, meanwhile, made his first-team debut last season at Celta Vigo but has not featured this term.
