Real Madrid were able to welcome back some players for training on Saturday, as Rodrygo Goes, Fede Valverde, Marcelo and Alvaro Odriozola all took part in the session with the group.
Zinedine Zidane will also use Sunday's session to monitor their progress before deciding if they are ready to return against Real Sociedad, who Real Madrid play at Valdebebas on Monday night.
Rodrygo has been out since suffering a muscle strain against Granada on December 23. The Brazilian winger was becoming an important player for Zidane, having scored against Eibar shortly before, while he had already provided six assists.
Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema, however, both trained on Saturday morning but did so on the periphery. The French striker will be the first to return, potentially against Atletico Madrid next weekend, but that will likely come too soon for Hazard.
Another player close to returning to the pitch is Valverde, who suffered a muscle tear away at Osasuna on January 9 and has missed six league games, plus the first-leg victory against Atalanta in the Champions League. He is hoping to return in time for the Madrid derby.
Eder Militao also trained on the periphery alongside Benzema and Hazard, which means that the only players further behind in their progress are Dani Carvajal and Sergio Ramos, who both remained inside the Valdebebas facilities on Saturday.
