Francesco Totti’s wife, Ilary Blasi, hinted at the possible retirement of the Roma captain at the end of the season.
Although it was looking like Totti was ready to renew his contract for another year, his wife said that at the age of 40 he maybe wishes to do something else.
“Next year he turns 40, it’s about time,” she told Oggi.
“I retired before him, I beat him on this one.
“Francesco had a great time and enjoyed himself, but there’s a time for everything.
“He made the most of it, at the point that now I believe he wishes to move on.”
Nonetheless, the 34-year-old model expects that he will continue to live in the world of football.
“He will stay in football,” confirmed Blasi.
Totti recently met with Roma president James Pallotta, but apparently they didn’t speak about a renewal and instead, the icon might join the management of Roma next season.
