Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has revealed Champions League qualification is the club’s main objective for the remainder of the season.

The 25-year-old has targeted victory against Frosinone at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Saturday evening to kick-start the Giallorossi’s season.

“It is an important moment for the team,” the Bosnian told Roma TV.

“After the change of coach the team has worked hard and is committed to getting results. The team is adapting and hopefully we will see the fruits of that on Saturday.

“The championship is long, there are so many points to play for. It will be our goal[Champions League qualifiaction], we will fight until the end, we will give everything to be as high as possible, the team will not give up on anything.

“We want the three points on Saturday, we will try to dominate the match from start to finish to begin a winning streak and get closer to teams above us.”

Despite still searching for a first win under new coach Luciano Spalletti, Pjanic is confident of success and is happy with the new regime.

“I think everyone is very happy,” he added.

“We work on these new methods, several methods can be rehearsed to be able to change during the match. The team is good, we have to move forward and the only thing that matters is to win. We want to do it on Saturday, for us and for the fans.”

Roma announced the signing of Ervin Zukanovic from Sampdoria on Friday afternoon.
