Roma to wear charity shirt against Genoa

Published on: 18 December 2015

Roma have announced that they will wear a shirt bearing the name of the charity Telethon for Sunday’s game against Genoa.

The Giallorossi have been supporting Telethon, who fund research into genetic diseases, for over three years.

The Official ASRoma Twitter account revealed the shirt, which bears the charity’s logo as well as the hashtag that is being used to promote Telethon on social media.

This marks the third season in a row that Roma have borne the Telethon logo on their shirt and, as in each of the two previous years, the players’ shirts will be auctioned off after Sunday’s match in order to raise further money.

In 2013, the Giallorossi drew 2-2 with AC Milan in their chosen fixture, while last year’s match was, coincidentally, also against Genoa and saw Roma emerge with a 1-0 victory.
