Roma will step up pursuit of Suso as swap deal with Inter collapses (GdS)

Roma appear set to abandon their deal with Inter for winger Matteo Politano and could now step up their pursuit of Suso, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) the swap deal between Roma and Inter – which would see full-back Leonardo Spinazzola move to the Nerazzuri in exchange for Politano – has hit the rocks.

The two players are returning to the capital and to Milano respectively, with Inter having been responsible for the breakdown due to their will to insert another clause into the deal.

Now, the Giallorossi are back to the drawing board and they must act quickly. They desperately need a right-winger to replace Nicolo Zaniolo who will be out until the end of the season with ACL damage.

Politano is a player that they still like, but after the collapse of the current deal they are only willing to welcome him on a free loan, which Inter would not sanction.

Therefore, La Lupa are thinking of making a move to sign Suso from Milan, and in the last few hours there has been a lot of talk about a possible exchange involving Cengiz Under.
