After suffering from fatigue issues during Roma’s victory over Fiorentina on Friday night, winger Diego Perotti says that he will definitely be fit to feature against Real Madrid next week.

Perotti was taken off by coach Luciano Spalletti just after the hour mark in the Giallorossi’s 4-1 thrashing of the Viola as a precaution, but he has no worries about his availability for next Tuesday and is raring to go.

“I came off as a precaution due to fatigue,” he explained to Roma TV.

“Against Real Madrid, I will be there.”

Roma have a mountain to climb in Spain with the scoreline already 2-0 to Los Blancos due to the first leg, but the 27-year-old has refused to give up hope and can see a way forward.

“In Spain we will have to play our usual game and score at least two goals without making mistakes,” he continued.

In regards to Friday’s success which saw Roma temporarily move three points clear in the third Champions League qualification place in Serie A, the Argentine was delighted with the dispatching of a team he admires.

“We put in a great performance against a great team,” he said.

“It’s true that Fiorentina have a few injuries, but we’ve done our job and scored four goals and we’re happy to be in third place.”
