Former Netherlands international Ronald De Boer has been impressed with Ghanaian youngster Myron Boadu, who has made a sensational start to the Dutch Eredivisie this season.

The AZ Alkmaar striker has scored two goals and assisted three after four rounds of matches.

Over the weekend, he was influential, assisting Alkmaar's goals in the 2-0 victory over Waalwijk as they went to the top of the table.

"We are not surprised by Boadu, because we thought he was good for his injury. But he shows it every week and today (Sunday) again", De Boer told FOX Sports.

"He really is the way you want to see a striker, with a lot of depth in his game. He is a beautiful player and only eighteen years old."
