The Chairman of Royal Africa Holdings His Royal Highness Prince Ebrahim Sangyang has pledged to support the 2016 Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup with GHC10,000.

The CEO of the African focus investment firm, who doubles as the Gambian Prince made the pledge during the official launch of the event at the Press Center at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Five thousand cedis (GHC5000) is to support the organization of the event with the other GHC5000 going for the winner of the competition.

He seized the opportunity to laud the organizers of the program and called on the youth top ensure peace during the upcoming general elections.

His Royal Highness Prince Ebrahim who is a key proponent of peace around the African continent launched the Africa Peace Festival at the Coco Ocean Resort and Spa, in The Gambia in May this year.

His commitment to peace on the continent is the brain behind his support for the Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup which is geared towards peace during and after the 2016 election in Ghana.

This year’s Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup will see twelve Zongo Communities competing against each other at the Kotobabi Wembley on 9th July for the ultimate.

The first edition was won by Ashiaman Zongo.
